Halloween report from Mousseaux

The French kids were out Trick-or-Treating, and a woman all dressed up like a sparkly blond witch greeted children at the supermarket and offered to paint their faces for Halloween. Several children waited in line, smiling, while others tagged after their parents in the store, faces covered with spiders and other s-c-a-r-y things. I bought 3 bags of candy for my too-big-to-Trick-or- Treat American kid, and gave some out to the few I crossed, heading into the house from the car with my shopping bags, and to my neighbor for hers, who were out, somewhere in the village.

Next year, I will get my act together and receive them in the new entry, decked out with Jack O'Lanterns and lights.
